Our Ministers Over the Years
History: Methodist Episcopal - Pittsburgh Conference. The church began a society in the name of William Nickolas in 1879. Organized on April 1, 1881 under the name of Hites Church, the meeting place of the congregation was in the Hites School and it was served by Rev. George Washington Johnson, the minister from Springdale. At the conference session of 1881, it was placed on a circuit with North End Church of Pittsburgh with Rev. Richard Cartwright as minister.
